About myself
I am not Ismat Chugtai or Jane Austen . Neither am I Virginia Woolf or Agatha Christie. I would love to be a Lalitambika Antharjanam or a Mahashweta Devi.. but I am not!
I am MEERA – your regular middle class Indian woman who is trying to take a shot at expressing her creative urges.
When I started this blog I was not sure where it would lead..! I do a lot of writing in my professional work but that sort of writing is different. . To quote Hercule Poirot “Human nature is the most interesting thing” . I am an avid observer of human nature and interactions. I am impulsive and emotional. I try to be true to myself and to others who matter to me. I hope one day to be able to publish my own book. Do visit this blog whenever you can and share your thoughts with me

You are doing great, Meera.I envy the way you narrate in a gripping manner.I wish to change my style somewhat llike yours. You will surely be able to publish beforelong if you write more frequently than you do at present. I wish you complete 75 stories by end of September 2012.

Hi Meera,
I stumbled on your blog via gingernsnaps. I’m a bookworm so I couldnt resist! I like what you are doing here, too many writers are pretentious and mediocre! All the best.

Every one is unique.
One need not try to justify one self for every one contributes in their own way.
Only the conceited think they bear the whole world on their shoulders and the world will collapse if they drop.
Nice to see some one being what they are..
Free flow of language.
Shall visit more of your blogposts .share my views

First up, Thanks for the visit and Thanks a lot for the wonderful imprint you left there. Such words of encouragement mean a lot to newbies like me 🙂
Secondly, is this the only blog you write in ? I ask because a year back when I started my blog, I had read your experience with the Aadhaar Card or the National Identity Card on another page. I’m sure it was you because I remember seeing your pic there. I lost all those links which I had saved when my system was formatted, so I can’t retrieve it now. If I’m right, then I am so so happy to connect again 🙂
If I’m wrong, I’m sorry I mixed up 😦
Looking forward to reading your stories 🙂
Hugs and Cheers !!

Thanks mojgane for those kind words about my blog. I think there is a case of mistaken identity here. The Emerald Isle Meera is another one 🙂 But I hope you will keep your promise and keep visiting the site.

Meera, I used to follow your fictions. So glad to stumble upon this blog. I never knew abt this. No need to say ur short stories about common people are too good. I have got a loads to read now. As u r held up and won’t update ur ongoing stories which I really miss, this blog will compensate. You are to have recorded what you have observed around with your awesome writing. Thanks for sharing your works with us. Keep writing.
